Parent Association
Parent Advisory Council (PAC)
Chief Peguis Parent Advisory Council is open to all parents of students enrolled in Chief Peguis and all residents in the catchment area, who are interested in the education and well being of the students.
As an advisory group we may provide input to the staff and administration on issues of importance, such as school philosophy, mission and vision, school policies, programs and direction.
New members are always welcome. If you are interested in getting involved with a great group of people and help out the school please feel free to attend any of our monthly meetings.
Chief Peguis Musical Arts Association (CPMAA)
As a parent of a Chief Peguis band student, you are automatically a member of the Chief Peguis Musical Arts Association. With the help of the CPMAA, the music program at Chief Peguis has flourished and will continue to do so with your support. This organization promotes and supports the band program in the following ways:
- Acting as an advocate for the program by gathering information, informing parents, and promoting the program.
- Providing financial support through assistance with fundraising ventures.
- Assisting with band trip organization and concert preparation.
The CPMAA meets at 7pm, on the second Monday of each month in the library. All parents are invited to attend and be part of this fun and exciting parent group! Please check the school calendar for meeting dates.
English-Ukrainian Bilingual Parent Committee (EUBP)
The English-Ukrainian Bilingual Parent Committee is comprised of a group of parents who are dedicated to supporting and strengthening opportunities for students who have chosen to participate in this language program. The committee works with teachers in the organization of special events for students including field trips, concerts, fun events, and special assemblies. As well, the committee conducts an active recruitment campaign for enrolment of students into the program.
Additional committee members are always welcome! Please check the calendar for EUBP meeting dates. The meeting locations alternate between Chief Peguis Junior High and Springfield Heights Elementary School. Thank you to those parents who have generously volunteered their time up to this point. The “Welcome Back Barbecue” was a great kick-off to what promises to be an exciting year!
