Spirit Groups

Spirit groups are an opportunity for cross-grade learning. Each of the students at Sherwood School is placed in to one of our groups. This group is a heterogeneous grouping of boys and girls from all the grade levels. Each group is assigned one or two staff members who will help lead them through activities. The groups meet at least six times during the year, usually on early dismissal days.

Groups will be led through an activity that will focus on a theme such as cleaning up the community, giving back to the community or showing respect. This is a wonderful opportunity for our older students to demonstrate leadership skills in the school. Students will usually stay in the same spirit group throughout their time at Sherwood.
